Rescue Dog of the Week

Mild mannered, mellow, and sweet, Bruno is the perfect pet looking for his forever home. Last year Bruno was left behind when his family lost their home and didn’t take him along. He is now 9 years old and living with a foster family on Long Island, NY after being rescued by For Our Friends rescue in Queens. He currently lives in a foster home with two other large dogs, a male and a female. Previously he also lived with a small dog and cats. Bruno gets along with everyone and is especially tolerant of children of all ages. He is housebroken, neutered, and up to date on shots. He likes to cuddle very much and is the perfect laying around watching TV type of buddy. He doesn’t require a ton of exercise, but wouldn’t mind a walk here or there or a romp in the yard. He takes treats very gently and doesn’t even react when his foster brother tries to take treats right from his mouth! Bruno loves sitting in the front seat of the car when taking a drive. He has a beautiful brindle coat with touches of white and we believe him to be a mix of pit bull and boxer.

For Our Friends seeks a home for Bruno in the greater NYC metropolitan area, but would be open to homes along the east coast within driving distance. Please contact FOF at 718-595-2161 or email if you would like to meet him. You can also see him on our website.
