Rescue Dog of the Week

Don’t let those sad puppy-dog eyes fool you – this is about the happiest boy you’ll ever meet! Nolan is about 5 years old and has some health issues, but they don’t slow him down. His leg is broken, but he can easily get across the yard in record time, and maneuver stairs with his splint on! His front teeth have been ground down to nubs, probably from chewing on a chain or fence. But, in the end, Nolan wants nothing more than to crawl into your lap and gets hugs and kisses. (In fact, he was the star of the show and uncontested favorite during a class at the shelter over the weekend.) He is housebroken and gets along with other dogs and cats; however, we haven’t seen him around kids.

In a shelter that sees many, many pit bulls, Nolan has stolen our hearts.

Nolan is available for adoption at the City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter in Tulsa, Oklahoma. All dogs adopted from the shelter will have had their spay/neuter surgeries and age-appropriate vaccinations before heading to their forever homes.

StubbyDog offers the Rescue Dog of the Week feature as a way of helping homeless dogs find forever homes. StubbyDog relies solely and in good faith on information provided by contributing organizations. We do not temperament test, behavior screen, or background check any of the featured dogs. StubbyDog does not receive any financial incentive or other consideration for providing this service.
