Lena – adopted!

December 20, 2012

Rescue Dog of the Week

One day Lena appeared out of nowhere and joined a friend of Project Rescue Chicago who was walking her own dogs, and never looked back. Efforts to find her owners proved unsuccessful, and now this gorgeous, silky, smushy, snuggly, friendly AmStaff mix is available for adoption. About 3 years old and 55 pounds, she is healthy, crate- and house-trained, walks nicely on leash, isn’t barky, and is great in the car. She is currently living in a foster home in Chicago, Illinois with two pit bulls, and loves people and other dogs.

Lena is spayed, current on all vaccines, micro-chipped, free of heartworms, fleas, and intestinal parasites, and is ready to go home! To meet and possibly adopt Lena, please complete an application here.

All Project Rescue Chicago alumni are eligible for assistance from The Rusty Fund if they encounter medical needs after adoption. Founded in honor of Rusty (who is featured on the cover of Ken Foster’s book I’m a Good Dog), this fund is part of the ongoing support offered to all dogs.

StubbyDog offers the Rescue Dog of the Week feature as a way of helping homeless dogs find forever homes. StubbyDog relies solely and in good faith on information provided by contributing organizations. We do not temperament test, behavior screen, or background check any of the featured dogs. StubbyDog does not receive any financial incentive or other consideration for providing this service.
