StubbyDog’s Rescue Dog of the Week is sponsored by Zobo Pet Products, who will be giving away a free collar for every dog adopted through this program.

Hi! My name is Ruby! Let me tell you about me! I am about 5 years old, and my foster Mom says I’m the most perfect doggie!

I was in foster care after being rescued from the Brooklyn ACC for three months with a lovely lady and two little humans, who I loved very much. But the littlest human was allergic to me, so I moved to my new foster home, where I currently live with my foster Mom and 11-year-old Elderbull sister, Mabel.

Why haven’t I found my forever home? I give the best kisses, head tilts, and get SO excited when I meet new people anywhere! You should see me wiggle! I lubs my squeaky toys and tennis balls! I do like to break them, but I have never destroyed anything but my toys. I also lubs other doggies my size (but I prefer boys!). I have a big boyfriend who walks and plays with me every day! The minute he comes in my yard I start play bowing like crazy!

I have also worked with a trainer, he lubs me too! I am very eager to please, and know sit, stay, paw, and lay down already. But anything else you will teach me, I will learn!

I have never been crated in foster care, I sleep in Mom’s bed all day when she’s at work, and no accidents! If I was an only dog you could leave me out and I would be so good! I would not mind being an only dog, but would be happy with a doggie brother too! I am great with little humans and other doggies, but no kitties please, they are too much fun to chase!

And one more thing, I REALLY like to sleep under the covers with my foster Mom at night, I even cry until she lifts them up for me to go under.

If you would like to meet me (you won’t regret it!) please contact Rebound Hounds Res-Q at I am being fostered in Woodbridge, New Jersey. I am waiting, with a big smile, and frog legs!

Oh, Ruby, what a gorgeous girl you are!!  You’re just 15-20 minutes south on the GSP from me…’s a shame you prefer doggie brothers.  There’s a lovely 12 year-old elder girl in my home too.  Perhaps your foster mom would entertain a meeting between the two of you??
