Our Son and His Pit Bulls

A family shares how their rescued pit bulls adore their son
By Jamie Thomas
I have one son who is 20 months old and two pit bulls. We’ve had Chainy, a female pit bull who is now 4 years old, since she was about 10 months old. She has been found on the streets prior to us adopting her. She has always been a very sweet dog, and when our son Jake was born, she respected his space very nicely until he was big enough to receive kisses. Now they joyfully run up and down the hallway together, and he “rides” her when she’s lying down.
Our other pit bull, Goblin, has been with us since July, and he’s 2 years old. We rescued him from an irresponsible owner who wanted to get rid of him and kept him in a very small cage. He sits dutifully and patiently when our son hugs him and pets him. They are both very, very sweet dogs in different ways.
The last picture looks all too familiar 🙂
 @theprettychic too cute. 🙂
Such a sweet picture and story! I hope all pitbulls can have a family like this someday.
