Blaze the Role Model

We adopted our dog Blaze over five years ago from a small shelter where I volunteer. He was an owner surrender at 8 years old. Blaze was my “pet partner” at the shelter, and I used to spend a lot of time with him since he was classified “hard to adopt.” One day I brought him home on a field trip to see how he did in the house, and a couple days later I finalized his adoption – he was terrific!

Goofy Griffin

Griff has terrible manners. He stares. He yells at other dogs. When he eats, food falls out of his mouth, then he eats it off of the floor. Without being asked, Griff will lean in and kiss. Other times he’ll stick his butt in your face and demand you scratch it.

Bella and Bentley

I was never supposed to have a pit bull. Pit bulls were scary and there was no way I could ever have one around our youngest daughter, who has cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair. It wouldn’t be safe! All you had to do was listen to the “news” to know that.

How Our Dogs Make Us Smile

We love our dogs, they bring so much joy into our lives. So we asked our Facebook fans, ‘What is one thing your dog does that will always make you smile?’
Whether it’s waking us up, greeting us at the dog, begging, howling or zoomies, our dogs make us smile every day. And we love them for that.
