We moved into our current military housing because the main office lady said she was trying to get the pet policy changed so we could have a pet and to not worry about being kicked out. Well, within a few months after we moved in she was fired.

It’s challenging when his favorite owner is gone, and his separation anxiety goes in to high effect. Max hasn’t had the best veterinary care because we’ve moved frequently. It’s been a major pain to find housing as well that works for him.
Losing Knox
Our Doberman, Knox, is not allowed on Aliamanu Military Reservation in Hawaii. He has been staying with my sister this past year while we waited for pet housing on the base, and I didn’t think to check breed restrictions.

We have a dilemma with base housing pet policies. My husband is active duty Air Force. Our last base was Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. Their pet policy when we left was three pets.

When we got orders to go to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii in 2010, Bologna came with us. Instead of a five-minute bicycle ride to work, my husband has to commute almost an hour just so we can have a home with our best friend.
