The students enjoyed feeling the dogs’ soft ears and wet noses and tongues. Some of the students petted the dogs from head to tail, discovering the shape and size of each dog.

Though my neighbors had always embraced Belle, they were very wary of Bob. I was surprised – I had never experienced it before. He grew to be a very big boy, and though he was large and menacing on the outside, he was just a fragile, sweet, goofy dog who would prefer to kiss a fly than hurt it.
