Military Dad Deployed, Spud Needs a New Home

January 28, 2014

Meet Spud, a very handsome Pit Bull Terrier that was brought to the Pet Rescue Center in Mission Viejo, California when his dad was called to duty overseas. Spud loves everyone he meets, walks great on leash, is housebroken and very smart. He knows commands like sit, lay down, shake, high five, stay and takes treats very gently.  He is great with all people and children.

Spud is enrolled in The PRC’s K9 Nose Work Enrichment Program and is a star.  He would be a great jogging partner, yet can also be a couch potato and would love to snuggle up next to you on the couch.  He loves riding in the car, going to the beach and goes crazy over chasing water from the hose.  This is a close second to his favorite activity, which is popping balloons.  He would be great with a flirt pole!  Spud is a total goof ball and clown.  He smiles so much and hard that it makes our jaws hurt just looking at him.  It is like he has discovered the secret to happiness and he is trying to share it with everyone.

During his stay at the PRC, Spud has donated blood for a transfusion to help another doggy friend and has appeared on television on the Home and Family Show on the Hallmark Channel (1/16/14), where he showed off some of his training skills.

Spud is four-years old, 55 pounds, neutered, micro-chipped, completely healthy, up to date on his shots/flea/heartworm control and is ready to go home!  Come down to The PRC and meet Spud, you won’t want to leave without him.
