Rescue Dog of the Week

There’s no better way to start every day than with some Coffee! Our 1 year old pit bull with the big brown eyes is a bundle of love and energy. He adores people, children, and dogs of all shapes and sizes, but please, no cats for Coffee! A social butterfly through and through, he loves going outside and making new friends during nice, long walks and playful romps in the park. He’s great at fetch and — as we recently found out — swimming, too! He’s never happier than when he has someone to play with, and at the end of a long day, all sweet Coffee wants is a warm lap to snuggle up next to.

We rescued him from Chicago Safe Humane Court Case Dog Program, and though he’s been having great fun with his foster siblings, he’s eager to find his forever home. Coffee is both potty and crate trained. He also knows basic commands, and is ready and willing to learn some more, as long as you keep the treats coming! Highly treat motivated, our darling, gentle boy loves his treats almost as much as he loves a good nuzzle, so be prepared to give some tummy rubs! He’ll pay you back double in loyalty and affection, and help you start every morning with a smile.

Coffee is available for adoption through Be Fido’s Friend in Chicago, Illinois, and is being fostered right over the state line in Whiting, Indiana. You can see more pictures on our Facebook page.

StubbyDog offers the Rescue Dog of the Week feature as a way of helping adoptable dogs find forever homes. StubbyDog relies solely and in good faith on information provided by contributing organizations. We do not temperament test, behavior screen, or background check any of the featured dogs, nor are we involved at any point in the adoption process. StubbyDog does not receive any financial incentive or other consideration for providing this service.
