Banana Oat Bars
These bars are a little bit sweet, with a satisfying texture. They were so satisfying, in fact, that someone [human] ate most of them before pictures could be taken.
Ingredients:
- 3 c rolled oats (not quick oats)
- 1 ¼ c all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- ½ c honey
- ½ c milk
- ¼ c vegetable oil
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- Combine eggs, bananas, honey, milk, and oil in a large bowl; mix until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients, incorporating thoroughly after each addition.
- Evenly spread mixture on a lightly greased 9” x 14” cookie sheet.
- Bake for 25 minutes, keeping a close eye at the end to make sure they don’t burn.
- Remove from oven, and cut into desired size.
- Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Note: You can substitute a different type of flour if your dog is gluten-sensitive, just be aware that different flours absorb liquids differently, so you may have to adjust the ingredients accordingly.
