Brinkley – adopted!

December 20, 2012

Rescue Dog of the Week

Surrendered to a suburban shelter without reason, Brinkley spent ten days there before being transferred to the local shelter where Project Rescue Chicago gets its dogs. Gorgeous, sweet, playful, and super-social with dogs, Brinkley is slightly sassy in a great way that gives her a little extra spunk. Although she loves to carry stuffed squeaky toys in her mouth and run around, she is also happy to curl up and take a nap on the sofa.

Brinkley is 2 years old, 46 pounds, spayed, current on all vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-negative, happy, healthy, and ready to be adopted! She is completely house- and crate-trained, shows no signs of separation anxiety or any other types of behavioral concerns, and is very well mannered. Brinkley went through training and is great on leash! She will be an amazing best friend to the lucky person who adopts her.

All Project Rescue Chicago alumni are eligible for assistance from The Rusty Fund if they encounter medical needs after adoption. Founded in honor of Rusty (who is featured on the cover of Ken Foster’s book I’m a Good Dog), this fund is part of the ongoing support offered to all dogs.

StubbyDog offers the Rescue Dog of the Week feature as a way of helping homeless dogs find forever homes. StubbyDog relies solely and in good faith on information provided by contributing organizations. We do not temperament test, behavior screen, or background check any of the featured dogs. StubbyDog does not receive any financial incentive or other consideration for providing this service.
