Very excited to see some SC locations on here…sometimes it feels like Columbia is the only place with animal rescues.
Love seeing several locations around or near where I’ve lived in my life…it warms my heart to see the sheer number of rescues working tirelessly to save animals.
I volunteer and foster for Hawaii Animal Rescue Foundation – as a group we have saved hundreds of dogs….. oh my, that feels so good!
In The Arms Of Angles all breed rescue group. Tucson, Arizona and surrounding areas. They are the only rescue I know of in the area that will evaluate and take stray and owner surrender dogs when they can, even though they primarily pull dogs from the local shelters. The dedication of the group shows through in the numbers of dogs they intake, the veterinary bills they incur ensuring the health and welfare of the dogs, and finally the amazing number of adoptions into application approved homes. I am proud to be a small part of such a terrific organization.
kimbrandom the Arms of Angels sound like a wonderful organization that do everything right! Thanks for sharing!
Many years ago, I was part of a “White Life”, a White German Shepherd rescue. The rescue no longer exists in my part of the country. Through this rescue I was blessed with a new fur family member, a dog named Booker. My mom & I drove for hours to assess a dog at a pound in a community in my stae of Minnesota. when we got there we discovered Booker was an Anatolian Shepherd not a White German Shepherd. This beautiful dog was in need and we took him anyway. When we got back to our home, anticipating a foster situation, he bonded so well with Molly, our White German Shepherd puppy that we decided to adopt him.
