Phoebe

StubbyDog’s Rescue Dog of the Week is sponsored by Zobo Pet Products, who will be giving away a free collar for every dog adopted through this program.

Hi there! My name is Phoebe and I’m a very sweet girl who was found wandering alone on the streets before being brought to the Humane Society of the South Platte Valley in December 2011. No one ever came looking for me, but the wonderful people at the shelter gave me a safe place to stay until a loving home could be found.

I don’t mean to brag, but I’ve got a lot going for me. Besides being beautiful, I’ve got a super cool personality, and I love to have fun. Cuddling is one of my strong points, and I really like to take people for walks. I always mind my manners though, and never pull on the leash, and when I’m asked to sit and pose for photo opportunities, I happily oblige! I love, love, love treats, and even though I get very excited when I see the treats come around, I take them politely from your hand.

I adore people, and hope to find my forever family soon. The folks at the shelter treat me really well, and the volunteers and staff give me lots of hugs and kisses, but none of it compares to having a warm, cozy home of my own! It’s been determined that I’m about four years old, and I would do best being an only dog. I’m not so fond of kitties either! Besides being spayed, current on my vaccinations, and micro-chipped, I’ve gained a bit of weight while at the shelter, so my dream home would be a place with nice cozy blankets, and a loving person who would walk with me every day.

Thanks for letting me share a bit about myself! The Humane Society of the South Platte Valley is located in Littleton, Colorado, and you can find out more information about me by visiting their website. You can also check them out on Facebook.

I would love to adopt her! I have a male pitbull at the moment, he is neutered. I don’t want her for mating purposes but simply because i need another family member in my family. what is the adoption process?
