Our Own March Madness

March 30, 2012

A few random notes of interest as we move through this last week in March:

Last Saturday I was lucky enough to be able to attend Party Like a Pin Up here in Tampa— a fabulous event to benefit an even more fabulous organization: Pinups for Pitbulls. Not only was the event full of great entertainment, great people and (most importantly, of course) great dogs, it was wonderful to see such a wide variety of people showing up to support our dogs!

As many of you know, we LOOOOOVE our elderbulls here at StubbyDog, so needless to say we were very excited to find out about this new elderbull focused Tumblr page put together by the maven of elderbulls herself, the fabulous Kim Wolf! Check it out, but please be aware that, just like elderbulls themselves, it is quite addictive. (See photo below)

BADRAP is turning lucky 13 on April Fools Day (this Sunday). Not only would we like to wish them a happy, happy birthday and a huge StubbyDog thank you for all of the dogs’ lives they have made better over the past 13 years (both directly and indirectly through their work), but we want to share their absolutely wonderful birthday wish that we hope all of you will join in fulfilling. Find out more about it on their blog!

Have you checked out the aaaaaaamazing spring edition of American Dog Magazine? If not, do it today! It features some amazing pit bull advocates telling their stories about themselves and their organizations. StubbyDog is absolutely honored to be among this superstar group of pit bull advocates.

And finally, due to frequent requests from some awesome people (aka: all of you kickass StubbyDog-ers), StubbyDog is looking to put together some small regional outreach events. If you are interested in either sponsoring or helping to organize an event near you, please e-mail me ([email protected]). As with all of our success to date, we can’t do it without your support!

Great issue! Especially the part with the blonde and those adorable pibbles! Learning of the incredible work people all over the country are doing and the difference they’re making inspires me!
