Shelter Contest
January 2, 2012
In February, we’ll be taking a look at animal shelters and all they do for our communities. While we focus on what makes a shelter successful (or not), we’d like you to share your personal stories about your local animal shelter, so we’re launching our first ever StubbyDog Essay Contest!
Here’s how it works:
In 700 words or less, we’d like to know:
What does your local animal shelter mean to you?
Essays are due by 1/18/12.
The StubbyDog judges will choose and announce one winning essay and three runners up on 1/27/12.
The first place winner’s shelter will receive a $50 gift card to: MrChewy.com!
Plus:
All four of the winning essays will be featured on the StubbyDog website in February.
And:
In February all four winner’s shelters will receive a StubbyDog calendar, be featured on StubbyDog website with spotlight articles and have a rescue dog of the week featured.
Also:
The winners will receive a StubbyDog charm from Sunz Jewelz.
To enter, email your essay to [email protected]
Dogs are one of the most trusted animals, they are in fact one of the leading number of animals that are considered to be pets.
I’ll definitely be submitting something in for this…
What about rescues? I got my boy from Bullies In Need and would love to submit something about them but am okay not to if this is specifically for shelters. 🙂
I wish I could say something good about the shelters around here, when it comes to Pitbulls that is.
Waiting anxiously to read the winning essays!
