Happy New Year!

January 9, 2012

Stubby lived his life on a chain until one day he broke free and ran away. A Good Samaritan found him and brought him to the shelter. Now his real story begins…

Hey Everyone!

Didja miss me? Marnie and Matt and Lily were off on vacation so I didn’t have access to my computer. I went to a place called “Doggie Day Care.” Which was confusing because I was there at nights and not just during the day.

I missed my family the first couple of days. They kept telling me that they’d come back but there was a dog there who told me that the Day Care’s Mascot, Jake, was a dog who was left there by his family. They went on vacation and never came back! I was afraid to ask him about it.

I guess I don’t really think about the bad place where I came from, but I didn’t have a family back there. What would it be like to have a family and not have them come back?

But Jake seemed pretty happy with the Day Care people and my family did come back. Lily wouldn’t let me out of her sight and even Matt hugged me right. Marnie got me some special treats and said that next time, they were going to figure out a vacation where I could come with.

Everyone here came up with New Year’s Resolutions. Mine is to pass my Canine Good Citizen Test and change people’s minds about pit bulls. Oh, and to eat and sleep more. I hope that I’m up to the task!

Do you have New Year’s Resolutions for your dogs?
