StubbyDog’s Rescue Dog of the Week is sponsored by Zobo Pet Products, who will be giving away a free collar for every dog adopted through this program.

“Ruff! Ruff! I’m Paloma! I was rescued at one of Best Friends super adoption events and have been waiting for a home for FOUR long years! After recent major knee surgery and a dreadful three years in a kennel cell, I thought I got a break – I’ve been in a foster home for the past several months.

My foster mom showered me with TLC and I was having a lifestyle any dog should deserve. BUT the heartless landlord kicked me out! I’m not a barker. In fact, I’m no trouble at all! I’m as sweet as marshmallow, but just because I’m a pit bull, some people just do not give me a chance.

My foster home was the first time I began to reclaim my life. I was doted on, loved and given a soft place to land.

If I go back to the boarding where I would be confined in a cage, it will very likely finish me. . . There’s so much a dog can take! Any kennel boarding has to be temporary, and that is not where dogs should be shoved in for years.
Now, I’m at a temporary foster home, where a lot of volunteers have to share the tasks and pitch in their time, only to keep me out of a cage. I really need a home and family I can call my own!

I am loving and very intelligent. I would love to go to a home with someone patient, gentle, and smart enough to understand me. I am happy and grateful when people come take me out for the day (I especially love car rides!), and it makes me hopeful that I can have a forever home soon. If you think you want to make my dreams come true, please contact my guardian angels TODAY!!”

Paloma Likes: Pink, squeaky rope toys, laying in the grass, LOVES CAR RIDES or just being in a car, playtime, walks, belly rubs and back rubs.

Paloma Dislikes: Hyper aggressive dogs, kids, and chaos.

Personality: Loves some people right away, some people takes some warming up to, VERY smart, silly, playful, loving, and snuggly.

Paloma is very well trained, great on leash, sits, lies down and shakes. Paloma gets along with some docile dogs, but in general she would probably be best as an only dog, and probably best as an only pet. Paloma is recovering from a knee surgery. She was born on or around August of 2006. Paloma weighs approximately 55 pounds. She is housetrained, spayed, and up-to-date with her shots.

Paloma is available for adoption through Forte Animal Rescue which is located in near Los Angeles, California. You can check out their Facebook page. Paloma also has her own Facebook page.
