Jimmy

StubbyDog’s Rescue Dog of the Week is sponsored by Zobo Pet Products, who will be giving away a free collar for every dog adopted through this program.

Hi there! I am Jimmy, a 6-year-old, brown and white pittie guy who remains optimistic after some hardships early in my life. I am originally from Sioux City, Iowa, where I was admitted in terrible condition with burns all down my back. Luckily, the nice people at Sioux Land Humane Society got me all fixed up and found me a new home with some real nice folks from South Dakota. I was with them for years, but then we lost our home from the really bad floods that came through where we live. My adopters lost everything and couldn’t care for me any longer, so I had to go back to the shelter. To make matters worse, Sioux City, IA passed BSL since I was adopted, so I couldn’t be adopted out to the area. Fortunately not every place has ridiculous laws, and I was able to be transferred to Minnesota to be fostered by My Pit Bull is Family, with my adoption going through Animal Ark Shelter.

So here I am, with my heart on my sleeve, looking for a forever place to call home. I am a wonderful family companion, love to snuggle during nap time and enjoy being a couch potato. I do well with other dogs, but not so much with cats. I am housetrained and know basic commands like sit, down and shake. I wait for my breakfast and dinner until you say it’s okay for me to dig in. I still have some scars on my back from earlier in my life, but my handsome face and personality will make up for any scars I have!

I went on a road trip recently with my foster home. One of the other dogs got sick and threw up in the truck, but not me! I’m an expert at car riding, and ready to hop in the next car to my forever family. I still have a lot of great years left, and you wouldn’t have to deal with all the work that goes into a puppy! To fill out an application to adopt me, visit Animal Ark Shelter’s website. Animal Ark is located in Hastings, Minnesota. I am being fostered through My Pit Bull is Family so you can follow updates about me there. I also have my very own Facebook page all to myself. I’ve been through so much, and still have a great outlook on life. Will you be the big break I’ve been waiting for and deserve?
