Peanut

StubbyDog’s Rescue Dog of the Week is sponsored by Zobo Pet Products, who will be giving away a free collar for every dog adopted through this program.

Bow Wow! I’m Peanut and everyone tells me I am one handsome dude! I am around 1.5 years old, and I was found as a stray. I have a ton of energy so I would like an active home for walks a playtime, but I also love to curl up and cuddle on the couch after some fun!!! A fenced yard might be good for me, since I was picked up previously by Animal Control.

I am a very smart guy, so obedience training would be a great option for me. I know how to sit, lay down, and I wait for my breakfast and dinner until you have made sure it’s okay for me to gobble it up. My best accomplishment is that I’m learning how to only do my business outside. My foster home says I’ve gotten much better at that.

I don’t think I had the best start to life, so I can be a little shy and cautious toward new things. I don’t let it get me down though. My foster home has helped me learn to be brave, and with a little bit of help, I overcome my fears quickly. I went camping recently, and there were some other dogs there that were real nice. I get excited when there are other dogs cuz I really like to run and wrestle. I’m learning that some dogs aren’t as excited to see me as I am to see them though. There’s a little furry dog in my foster home that doesn’t let me run around and doesn’t want to wrestle. She scares me a little bit, so I’ll leave her alone for now but I’m sure I can win her over later.

These foster people are nice and all, but I’m ready for my very own family. Will you please give me a shot? I promise to do my best to keep you warm on the couch, and entertained with the games I create with my toys. To fill out an application to adopt me, visit Animal Ark Shelter’s website. Animal Ark is located in Hastings, Minnesota. I am being fostered through My Pit Bull is Family so you can follow updates about me there. I also have my very own Facebook page all to myself. Please help me find my forever family.
