Amanda and Molly

May 11, 2011

All types of people from all walks of life love pit bulls

Name: Amanda Fitzgerald
Age: 32
Occupation: Elementary school art teacher
Children: 2-year-old son

I volunteer at the local animal shelter in Baltimore where they have almost exclusively pit bulls.

I was always scared of this breed, but after a couple of months I realized how amazing, loving and affectionate they were. I was in danger of getting licked to death by them!

We picked up our pit/lab mix, Molly, from a shelter where she was dumped in a box.

She has turned into the most wonderful family pet and has added joy and unconditional love to our life.

Today, I would never get another breed of dog besides a pit bull – I am a changed woman!

@CindyScramBowen Thanks for your comments, and when you realized how great pit bulls are doesn’t matter, it only matters that you did realize it. 🙂
